Well we are past the halfway point.
Today was a slow day as my hands were so swollen, I took it easy.
Worked on removing the stone around the inner part of the statue.
It was the hottest day encountered here yet.
Not a cloud in the sky, and it was muggy and hot by 9 am.
We had visitors from one of the local schools so for an hour kids ran around
trying out their English, asking for autographs.
Received a lecture from a 14 year old school girl, that what I was carving was
questionable.
The nude girl part and of course her lecture was in Portuguese.
The day was good.
So hot I took a break in the afternoon and went for a chilled coffee.
The rest was needed.
Made it to the pharmacist too so I am hoping tonight sleep will come easier.
If it is hot tomorrow I will work on the opposite side in the morning to avoid the sun.
I may carve into the night, for some peace and solitude.
Today's pictures do not show much for progress.
But the day did have progress.
Well have fun all back home...
Are your butts freezing off yet?
Snow for a brief moment would be nice, but I think I will stay with the heat for now...
Some like it hot.
But I just hate freezing....
